LAHORE: Pakistan all-rounder Shahid Afridi got snapped at question from a journalist on his arrival to Pakistan after playing the Twenty20 series against India.
As per the media reports, a journalist asked Afridi in a derogatory way: aap chikkay chokay maar ke thus ho gye? [You started off with boundaries and then you turned to be a damp squib]. At that Afridi got angry and replied him: Apni umar dekhain aur sawaal dekhain [see your age first and then ask the question].
Five players [Afridi, Sohail Tanvir, Ahmad Shahzad, Umar Amin and Asad Ali] from the Pakistan’s T20 squad returned home today.
Afridi, who is dropped on the performance grounds first time in 6 years, had a lackluster T20 series against India and eventually couldn’t win a place back in the ODI squad. He conceded 59 runs in the 6 overs he bowled in the series and took only a wicket.
The ODI series starts tomorrow (Sunday) in Chennai.
